The Andean Wedding is a traditional ceremony inspired by the ancient customs of Andean
communities, where love is celebrated in the presence of Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the
sacred Apus (mountain spirits).
The Andean Wedding in Cusco takes place in an Andean community such as Pongobamba.
During the ceremony, the couple can participate in traditional rituals, wear traditional
clothing, and enjoy local music and dances.
It is an ideal experience for couples who wish to celebrate their union in a unique and
meaningful way while discovering Andean traditions up close.

Day 1

Andean Wedding Tour

Day 01

Hotel Pickup
The experience begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco, followed by an approximately
one-hour journey to the community of Pongobamba, located at an altitude of 3,000 m.a.s.l.
Arrival and Welcome
Upon arrival, the couple will be welcomed by representatives of the Vida Andina community
with traditional Andean music and dances.
Andean Wedding Ceremony
To begin the celebration, the bride and groom will be given traditional Andean outfits to
wear before the wedding ceremony.
The ceremony will be led by an Andean priest or shaman, who will offer prayers and make
offerings to Pachamama, asking for blessings of abundance, prosperity, and well-being for the
couple.
Lunch
After the Andean wedding ceremony, the community will offer a delicious Andean buffet
lunch prepared with natural local products such as potatoes, wheat, corn, oca, and more.
Return to Cusco
To conclude the experience, we will say goodbye to our hosts before beginning our return
journey to Cusco.
