Day 1Hotel Pickup and Journey to the Andean Community
The day begins with pickup from your hotel. We will then travel for approximately
one hour to the community of Pongobamba, located at an altitude of 3,000 m.a.s.l.
Arrival and Welcome
The Vida Andina community will welcome visitors with traditional music and
dances. You will also be offered a traditional Andean outfit to wear during the
experience.
We will then take a short walk to the ceremony site, accompanied by alpacas and
llamas, allowing you to enjoy a closer and more natural connection with these
animals.
The ceremony will then begin. First, we will give thanks to Pachamama using coca
leaves. Participants will then be invited to sit beside the llamas and alpacas while
enjoying Andean music and relaxing in the peaceful surroundings.
Lunch
After the ceremony, the community will welcome you to enjoy a delicious Andean
buffet lunch prepared with local products such as potatoes, broad beans, oca, wheat,
and more.
Farewell and Return
To conclude the experience, we will say goodbye to the animals and our hosts before
beginning our return journey to Cusco.
