Day 1Your adventure begins with hotel pickup in Cusco between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 am You will travel south through the scenic valleys of Cusco in comfortable tourist transportation.
Around 6:30 am, you will arrive in Cusipata, where you will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast before continuing to the trailhead, located at over 4,600 meters (15,090 ft) above sea level.
From there, you will begin a hike lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, following trails through the spectacular Andean highlands. Along the way, you will encounter llamas and alpacas while enjoying breathtaking views of the snow-capped Ausangate Mountain.
Upon reaching the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint, your guide will explain the geological formation of this unique natural attraction. You will have plenty of time to relax, take photographs, and admire one of Peru's most spectacular landscapes.
Afterward, you will hike back along the same trail to the parking area, where your transportation will be waiting.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., you will return to Cusipata to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch featuring traditional Peruvian cuisine.
Finally, you will travel back to Cusco, arriving at your hotel between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm
