Discover Your Adventure

The 2-Day Inca Trail Tour is the perfect choice for travelers who want to experience the magic of the legendary Inca Trail on a shorter adventure without missing the unforgettable arrival at Machu Picchu through the iconic Sun Gate (Inti Punku).

Unlike the Classic 4-Day Inca Trail, this route combines history, nature, and adventure on a moderate hike along ancient stone paths built by the Incas. Along the way, you'll discover breathtaking Andean landscapes, lush cloud forests, fascinating archaeological sites, and spectacular views of the Urubamba River Valley.

On the first day, you'll hike a section of the Inca Trail to reach Machu Picchu through Inti Punku, enjoying one of the most breathtaking entrances to the Lost City of the Incas. After admiring the sunset over Machu Picchu, you'll spend the night in Aguas Calientes. The following morning, you'll return to the citadel for a guided tour and have free time to further explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This tour is ideal for travelers looking to combine trekking, history, and culture in an unforgettable two-day adventure with a moderate hiking level.

Day 1

Your adventure begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a transfer to Ollantaytambo Train Station, where you'll board the train to Km 104, the starting point of the hike.

After passing the Inca Trail checkpoint, you'll begin the trek with a visit to the archaeological site of Chachabamba, an ancient ceremonial center located along the Urubamba River.

The trail continues uphill through original Inca pathways surrounded by lush vegetation, orchids, and stunning mountain scenery until reaching the impressive archaeological complex of Wiñay Wayna, considered one of the most remarkable sites along the Inca Trail.

After enjoying a delicious boxed lunch, you'll continue hiking toward Inti Punku (the Sun Gate), the original entrance used by the Incas to access Machu Picchu.

From this spectacular viewpoint, you'll enjoy your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu—one of the most memorable moments of the entire journey.

Afterward, you'll descend to the citadel to admire its most iconic viewpoints before taking the shuttle bus to Aguas Calientes, where you'll spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
